14th & Kennedy St Farmers Market opens Saturday, April 9th

Plenty of fresh produce at the 14th & Kennedy Street Farmers Market

It's getting to be that time of year again, when the local farmers markets open up and offer fresh produce, baked goods, local vendors, great coffee, music and more. First up is the 14th & Kennedy Street Farmers Market, located on Colorado Ave between Longfellow and Kennedy Street. This marks the second year of this successful local market. It opens on Saturday, April 9th from 9am to 1pm.

This year the market will feature a kids' tent (with arts and crafts) every week and kids' performers twice a month, including opening day.

This year the market welcomes Belle Prairie Farm, a Certified Naturally Grown produce farm. And in the first week and some time thereafter, come enjoy Tacos El Tianguis (and their phenomenal guisado or stew style tacos).

  • Returning this year, fresh produce from McCleaf’s Orchard and Garner's Produce.
  • Dimitri Olive Farm is back with his delicious olives, olive oil, tzatziki, and tapenade!
  • Groff's Content Farm returns with their delicious pastured meat and eggs.
  • Zeke's Coffee of DC and Stone Hearth Bakery will have their same irresistible coffee and baked goods.

The 14th & Kennedy Street market is sponsored by the Friends of 16th Street Heights Parks, Bright Start Daycare, Cusick Group Realtors LLC, Solar Solutions, GOAL LLC, Lee Murphy Real Estate, McEnearney Associates Realtors, NestDC, and Curious Explorers Daycare.
