Petworth PorchFest is coming back for its 5th year on Saturday, April 26th! This amazing outdoor music event features bands on porches across the neighborhood from 2pm-6pm, with more bands on the main stage at Petworth Park from 5pm-8pm.
Last year, Petworth PorchFest featured approximately 300 bands on 100 host porches across Petworth, making it the biggest PorchFest in the District. With a wide variety of acts, there is some great music for everyone of all ages.
Local businesses have told organizers how positive this event is for them, with many saying it’s their busiest day of the year. Neighbors say they love getting to enjoy a fun day of live music with friends and neighbors right outside their doors (or literally on their doorsteps!) and getting to welcome people to our cool corner of the city. This year’s event is shaping up to be the best one yet.

Petworth PorchFest organizers are working with DC gov to close streets near the main stage at the Petworth Rec Center (8th & Taylor) to promote pedestrian safety, making the event even better — but also increasing complexity and cost. If you love this event and want to help keep it going, there are lots of ways you can get involved:
Sign up to HOST a band, PERFORM or to VOLUNTEER to help the day be successful!
Donate to Petworth Main Street to help cover costs for street closures, main stage artists and neighborhood outreach. All contributions are appreciated and help make this event possible. Your name will be listed on the event website as a Friend of Petworth PorchFest if you donate at the $100+ level.
Consider sponsoring the event or connecting organizers to individuals and businesses who might be interested in being a sponsor.
If anything changes with the event date, event organizers will let you know right away.
Petworth PorchFest is a volunteer-led event that seeks to bring Petworth neighbors and residents from across the DMV together to enjoy free live music in community, supporting local artists and businesses. The April 26th date is pending final approval of a special events permit from DC gov. Note that the rain date is planned for Sunday, April 27th.
