BUILD helps high school students become entrepreneurs at Roosevelt

Last fall Petworth News learned about Roosevelt High School’s BUILD program, a competition among local schools that encourages students to become entrepreneurs. Students have been working on their teams, ideas and businesses all school year and next week community members are invited to participate in the program.
On Wednesday, May 25th from 5-6:30pm, young entrepreneurs will showcase their businesses in the atrium at Roosevelt High School, located at 4301 13th Street NW. The atrium is located right in the front of the building after you enter the main doors on 13th street.
This year, students at Roosevelt have created businesses that include products like water bottles, press-on nails and international snacks. See below for a full list of businesses and products:
