MPD seeking "person of interest" in Kennedy St homicide

A man was stabbed on the 800 block of Kennedy Street on Saturday, April 23rd sometime before 10:23pm (when MPD responded).  The victim, 38-year-old Dimas Fuentes-Lazo, later succumbed to his wounds at a local hospital. Police are seeking a "person of interest" to question.

The alleged "person of interest" was seen on several video cameras, and MPD has made footage and photos available. They'd like to talk to this person.  Video below and you can read the MPD press release.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide. Investigators seek the public's assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest in a Homicide which occurred on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at approximately 10:23 PM, in the 800 block of Kennedy Street, NW.

If you know who this is, the Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099.  Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
