Introduction
I am an independent media producer. I have about 46 children; the kids in my neighborhood who know where the candy drawer is in my kitchen.
What's a hobby or something fun that you are interested in?
I work with several non profit groups to help the homeless, and freshly arrived immigrants.
What are your qualifications?
For the 22 years I have enjoyed living in this community, it's been my thing to just get things done. I now want to up the game and get things done with the added power of being an ANC. I also look forward to suggesting that my five older siblings refer to my as Commissioner. :)
What are the ANC meetings?
A number of years ago I asked the Simpson Hamline Church to allow us to hold our meetings on their property. They agreed. During the pandemic, our ANC meetings have been virtual with few exceptions. I hope that will change soon
Are you going to hold SMD meetings?
I will follow the guidelines. I promise NOT to hold important meetings with 48 hour notice, which occurred 14 times in the last 20 months.
Do you attend other meetings?
I have attended my neighborhood meetings virtually, or in person for the last 22 years.
Peggy’s Priorities
Protecting our senior citizens, and our little neighbors, with speed humps. Protecting our neighborhood by requiring an organized plan for road projects to avoid unnecessary overlapping of construction that creates chaos. It's not hard if someone is paying attention. But someone has to pay attention.
I love this neighborhood, just 12 blocks away from where my mom grew up in Petworth.
I am so grateful to live in a community where we take care of each other, and we welcome all. In the 22 years I have lived here, we have come together to send homeless children to summer camp, to provide winter clothing for refugees, to find ways as a community to take care of our neighbors during the Pandemic.
