Introduction
I’m a father, husband, and full-time federal consultant, former civilian for the U.S. Navy, self-proclaimed DC Urbanite eager to earn my stripes and your trust as a candidate for Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in the newly bordered Single Member District 4E04. In service of your voice, our community and its culture.
What's a hobby or something fun that you are interested in?
I love running the trails through Rock Creek Park, hosting gatherings with family and friends in the backyard, tapping into my inner child through all my five-year old's imaginations, activities, and adventures, and traveling the country and world as frequently as possible.
What are your qualifications?
I have spent the bulk of my career connecting the mission of federal and defense agencies back to their end-users, our country's citizens and taxpayers. In that, I have grown my passion for repairing the reputational crisis of public service. There is no better way to serve in that capacity than at the most local levels here in our community, giving voice to the cares and concerns of our neighbors and friends. I am ready to serve!
What are the ANC meetings?
TBD
Are you going to hold SMD meetings?
I plan on holding monthly SMD meetings, with opportunity to access my schedule and time as is needed between.
Do you attend other meetings?
I am increasing my involvement as my son advances to kindergarten within DCPS. Additionally, I am current on the happenings of the major development projects within our ANC and SMD and will maintain a regular active and engaged participant.
Randy’s Priorities
My priorities include insight and involvement with the major (re)development projects within and surrounding our Single Member District boundary, transportation and safe streets, enhancing safety and reducing crime, expanding and preserving affordable housing, and growing government accountability in a plethora of additional areas of concern and significance. Ultimately, my priorities will be shaped and ordered by that of my community and I am eager to continue listening, learning, and taking action on their behalf.
I'm privileged to have the opportunity to serve our community and represent our Single Member District. I am passionate about advancing the interests of our community and more so learning in those areas to which I am lesser, or not yet, familiar. I will continue to work and build your trust, confidence, support and vote -- thank you!
