The election for Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 4C05 is the only competitive race in 4C, pitting current Commissioner Paul Johnson against newcomer Brittany Kademian. Johnson serves as the commissioner for ANC 4C07, but his SMD will change to 4C05 with the changes to the boundaries next year.

Commissioner Namatie Mansaray voted as new ANC 4C Chair as commission makes changes

On Monday, July 12th, ANC 4C voted to remove Commissioner Paul Johnson as chairperson on a vote of 8-2 in favor. Commissioner Johnson and Commissioner Yvette Marbury-Long voted against the motion. While Johnson will no longer be serving as chairperson of ANC 4C, he will still serve as a commissioner representing the 4C07 Single Member District.

Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4C has set a special public meeting on Monday, July 12th at 7pm, two days before their normally scheduled monthly public meeting on Wednesday the 14th. The unusual purpose of Monday’s meeting is to bring the commissioners together to vote on removing 4C07 Commissioner Paul Johnson from his officer role as Chair of the 4C commission.
