This year, the Celebrate Petworth Festival will introduce the new Taste of Petworth, where you can purchase tickets and exchange them for delectable dishes from a variety of Petworth-area restaurants.
The Taste of Petworth is sponsored by Greenline Real Estate.
“Celebrate Petworth was conceived and created to bring residents together, and food is central to any community as a way to communicate and celebrate,” said Tom Pipkin, co-founder of the Petworth Alliance. “We want to thank our participating local restaurants for recognizing this and joining us in this exciting new addition to the festival lineup!”
Over the past several years, Petworth has become locally and nationally recognized for its vibrant food scene that appeals to a range of budgets and tastes. From choripan to tikka masala, festival-goers can purchase tickets for $2 each at the event and use them to sample bites from several local establishments (dishes will be priced from one to six tickets). Some of the featured restaurants include:
- Homestead
- Lawrence's Petworth Carry-Out & Catering
- Oohh's & Aahh’s
- Ruta del Vino
- Salt and Pepper Grill
- Short Eats at Ten Tigers Parlour
- Spice
Plus, you will receive 15% off at any participating restaurant on a future visit when you present their menu from the Festival (yah yah, some restrictions apply). For more information and updates, please visit the Celebrate Petworth website.
“Petworth and our adjacent neighborhoods offer something for everyone when it comes to dining out, and I hope festival attendees take the time to try something new (and tasty), as we support local businesses,” added Amber Harris, co-chair of the inaugural Taste of Petworth event.
