Get ready Kennedy Street, because premium ice cream is coming to you in a few weeks. Everyday Sundae is opening at 713 Kennedy Street on Sunday, July 4th. This space is right next to ANXO, and is where Cheesemonster vacated in April.

The silver-lining of this news is that ANXO plans on expanding their Brightwood Park location at 711 Kennedy St NW.

In this year’s announcement, The Hitching Post and Taqueria Habanero have joined Timber Pizza on the list of Bib Gourmands for the Petworth area. The quality of these restaurants is of no doubt to Petworth residents.

On March 6th and 7th, Mr. Braxton, in association with and supported by Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, Food and Friends, and nutrition expert Camille Range MPH RDN, among others, provided 700 meals across the city.

Love, because corazon means “heart” in Spanish. Owner Josefina A. Darui has adored the shape since she was little, and the small, warm restaurant is covered in them. But love is used also because of what she’s hoping to bring to the area.
“I love DC; that’s one of the reasons that I named my business ‘DC Corazon,’” says Darui. “I want people to know that in DC Corazon everything we make comes from our heart.”
