Enjoy St. Pauls 156th annual Strawberry Festival on June 8th!
/St. Paul's Rock Creek Episcopal Church is pleased to invite Petworth neighbors to their 156th Annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 8, from 4 pm-8 pm.
St. Paul's Rock Creek Parish is located within historic Rock Creek Cemetery at Rock Creek Church Road and Webster Street. Come celebrate the start of summer with pony rides, moonbounces, games and activities, and short walking tours of the historic cemetery.
Come hungry and ready for grilled foods, strawberry shortcake and other treats. All activities are free; food requires ticket purchase. At the Festival, they will be collecting "Walking Food" (i.e., healthy snacks) for clients of Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington. Bring something if you are able.
Note from Ereftu: For students interested in participating, this festival is a great way to earn volunteer hours required for DCPS students. Coming from personal experience, I enjoyed interacting with my fellow neighbors and participating in a community-building experience.
Whether you attend to enjoy the experience and indulge in food or to gain volunteer hours, St. Paul's invites all to participate in this long-lasting community tradition that all ages can enjoy.
