BRUSH UP ON YOUR HARDWARE KNOW-HOW AT ANNIE’S ACE HARDWARE-BROOKLAND’S FIRST EVER LADIES NIGHT

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 9th, 2017) – Annie’s Ace Hardware-Brookland, located at 3405 8th Street NE, Washington DC, 20017, will host its first ever Ladies Night on Thursday, February 09, 2017 from 6–8 p.m. Shoppers will receive 10% off all regularly priced merchandise—from grills to power tools to plumbing parts. The first 30 customers will receive free goodie bags with samples from vendors found throughout our store.

“This event will not only showcase our store and the services we provide,” says owner Thomas Vedrody, “but it will also showcase some of the wonderful local vendors located in and around our community.” Customers will be able to attend a power tool demonstration by Anne Stom—the store’s namesake—participate in a seed starting demonstration by Three Part Harmony Farms, and experiment with Amy Howard paints and color consulting from local designer Lauri Hafvenstein. Vendors in attendance showcasing their wares include: PinUp Preserves, She Peppers, District Spice and Excel Pilates, commercial contractor Grant Winstead, and one of Brookland Artspace’s very own resident artists, Rajan Sedalia, who will be presenting his work and demonstrating how to up-cycle found items with spray paint.

Refreshments will be served, and the store will be filled with Annie’s signature “Ace Helpful” staff, on hand to answer any questions. RSVP on the event Facebook page.

About Annie’s Ace Hardware-Brookland
Annie’s Ace Hardware-Brookland location is a locally owned retail hardware store which opened in November 2015. It is the second store for Anne Stom, and the first for partner Thomas Vedrody, who worked closely with the owner of the former Brookland Hardware, Howard Politzer, to ensure the community he served for so long maintained its neighborhood store. After one successful year in operation at the new location of 3405 8th Street NE, you can still find many of the same old faces, proud to host their first ever Ladies Night!
