The Celebrate Petworth Festival is returning this year after a Covid-hiatus, coming to the 800 block of Upshur Street on Saturday, September 25th from 11-5pm.

One of the highlights for me is hosting the Dog Show at noon — it’s a huge crowd pleaser. So many cute puppers and proud parents can enter the contest and win some great prizes — up to $700 in prizes are available!

The contest is sponsored by Patrick's Pet Care, with proceeds going to Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.

There are six show categories:

Best Dressed – Does your dog dress to impress? Give your pup a chance to show off their fashion style.
Early Halloween Costume – Whether you already have this year’s Halloween costume picked out or are dying to re-use last year’s, we can’t wait to see your pup all dressed up.
Look-a-like – Have people said you and your dog look alike?
Best Singing/Bark – Does your dog have talent? Show off your pup’s vocal skills.
Coolest Trick – Give your dog a chance to demonstrate their best trick!

Audience Favorite: Attendees will decide who will win Audience Favorite 2021. Spectators will be asked to vote for their favorite by cheering and clapping!

There are $700+ in prizes available, including gift cards, dog treats, pet portraits, and more.

A portion of your registration fee ($10) will be donated to Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.
