This Thursday, Battle of the Bands with the Fuss and Tommi!
/Thursday, November 8th brings another great Battle of the Bands show to Capitol Cider House (3930 Georgia Ave NW). This show features two different yet exceptional bands! Show starts at 8pm — come out for the free show and vote for the band you enjoyed the most. Winner heads to the finals in December for a chance to win $1,000!
And it’s not just great cider! Smoke & Ember BBQ will be on-hand serving BBQ like chopped chicken, pulled pork and smoked cabbage sandwiches. Should be delicious!
The Fuss
The Fuss is a dynamic ska, rocksteady, and early reggae band from Washington, D.C. Their sound pays tribute to the music of 1960’s Jamaica and the British Mod scene, while putting modern slant on these timeless styles. The group is comprised of 3-part female harmonies, a 3-piece horn section, and 4-piece rhythm section. Since the band formed in 2014 and they’ve had the pleasure of sharing the stage with bands such as The Skatalites, The Toasters, The Pietasters, Eastern Standard Time, The Interrupters, Save Ferris, Steady 45’s, and many more. Tommi
Tommi is a local recording artist of Sierra Leonean descent. Tommi has performed around the DMV at venues like Wolf Trap and The Kennedy Center, in addition to performing all over DC and NY. She was recently featured on Fox TV's "Beyond The Lens," and a video of her singing a Gladys Knight classic "Neither One of Us" in Chinatown has reached over 1,300,000 views on Facebook.
