Then, Butcher Brown performs, blending jazz with with hip hop, funk, rap, rock and soul. The group honors each musical genre and, at the same time, challenges traditional musical boundaries.
The movie Get On Up will begin at dark. This PG-13 2014 James Brown biopic follows Brown’s rise to stardom and stars Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis, Dan Aykroyd, Lennie James, Nelsan Ellis and Craig Robinson.
Blankets will be available if the ground isn’t too wet. This event is free, and all are welcome.
Bring your own chairs, picnics, and popcorn, and enjoy this family friendly line-up. Additional food vendors to be announced.
