Enjoy a free Cider and Woodworking Workshop with Green Neighbors DC

Join local group Green Neighbors for the sweeter and woodier sides of Fall as they hold a free Cider and Woodworking Workshop on November 12th from 1-3pm.

Let out your frustration (or relief) about politics by pressing cider on one of Green Neighbor’s two cider mills. They’ll have apples, but feel free to bring your own. (While they'll clean down the machine between presses, they request that you to take the cider home and boil it just to be sure.)

You can also test out their grain mill and solar oven. Smores ingredients provided.

PLUS - Work with some of their tool volunteers to learn how to use some of their handheld and power woodworking tools, like wood chisels, planers and miter saws. (They are trying to get Zenith Community Arts Foundation to come and demonstrate some woodworking methods.)

RAIN DATE is Nov 19th.
