Meet your local MPD PSA 407 officers this Saturday, May 19th

PSA 407 Lieutenant Anthony Washington

How well do you know the officers who patrol the Petworth area? Now you have an opportunity to get to know two of the leaders of Police Service Area 407 on Saturday, May 19th from 9-11am at Slim's Diner (4201 Georgia Ave NW) at a new series called MPD on the Patio.

You'll have the chance to meet with Sergeant Tiffany Cowan and Sergeant Tanya Longus, as well as Derek Staten, MPD's Community Outreach Coordinator.

MPD on the Patio is the idea of PSA 407 Lieutenant Anthony Washington, designed as a way for residents and officers to get to know each other in a more casual environment. Due to family matters, Lt Washington won't be able to attend the first Patio event.

"We would like to build lasting partnerships with the residents and business owners in PSA 407," said Lt. Washington. "MPD members are eager to meet with the community in the casual atmosphere of Slim's patio to get to know each other."

Stop by Slim's on your way to the Powell Community Festival on Saturday, meet the Sergeants and make some good connections.

If you can't make it on Saturday, you'll have a few more opportunities to meet local officers:
