Petworth PorchFest is Saturday, April 26th starting at 2pm on porches across the Petworth area. This year there are more than 300 bands playing at over 130 homes across the neighborhood, making this one the largest outdoor music festivals in DC.
The map of band locations and schedule of shows are on the Petworth PorchFest website and will continue to be updated. PorchFest will run from 2-8pm, with music on porches from 2-6pm and music on the Main Stage at Petworth Recreation Center 801 Taylor Street NW) from 5-8pm.
The 8th Street block between Taylor and Upshur Streets next to the main stage will be closed. This year, local businesses are included on the map to help people explore when they're out and about. The main stage includes The Fuss (ska), Babizulu (hip-hop, soul), and Bongo District (reggae, rock, cumbia).
