Sherman Circle clean up on Sunday, April 30th
/ANC 4D Commissioner Amy Hemingway posted about an upcoming clean up effort for Sherman Circle. This is a great opportunity to help keep the popular local park looking ship-shape -- and then you can enjoy the Sherman Circle Social later that day.
Here's Commissioner Hemingway's email:
Hi everyone! It's time for Spring cleaning! Please join us for our first monthly clean-up in Sherman Circle on Sunday, April 30, at 9:30am.
As the National Park Service SOLVE volunteer (Sustaining our Lands with Volunteer Energy), I will organize monthly clean-ups to focus on trash and tree limbs, as well as things like graffiti and minimal landscaping as needed. (more info on SOLVE).
With the help of dedicated volunteers like Steven Feingold, Carol Herwig, Maura Polli and others, I know we can keep Sherman Circle a great place for neighbors to gather.
I hope you will join us! Later in the day at 4pm, we will have the monthly Sherman Circle Social, with a special activity for kids - and the park will be CLEAN!
Cheers!
Amy Hemingway
