This is the time of the year that FOSH (Friends of the Soldiers Home), begins planning and preparing for their annual (and very popular) July 4th Celebration — and they are looking for volunteers to help make the day great!

The annual July 4th Celebration is held on the lawn of the Armed Forces Retirement Home (aka the Old Soldiers Home) at 340 Rock Creek Church Road NW from 4-10:30pm on Tuesday, July 4th.

They are looking for help with a variety of jobs during the event, such as managing parking, running the beverage stand, supporting the FOSH table, monitoring the children activity zone, and more. If you’re interested in volunteering 1.5-2 hours of your time during this event, please sign up with their online form.

FOSH could not continue to run these community events without support from the community, and they thank you in advance for your time and consideration!
