Plants waiting to go into Grant Circle!

Plants waiting to go into Grant Circle!

by Steven Feingold

Come join your neighbors to help add some perennials to Grant Circle this Saturday at 10am and help keep Petworth Blooming!

Thanks to the work of volunteers last October and November, Grant Circle had two new beds of tulips and daffodils flowering this spring. To keep the show going into the summer and fall, we need your help to plant more plants in the new flower beds and to spruce up some of the older ones.

We’ve got over 120 plants to add including Blazing-stars, Black-eyed Susans, Yarrow, Catmint, Fall Asters, Bluestars, and Mountain Mint.

I’ll bring some extra gloves and spades, but please bring your own if you have them. Kids are welcome!

A big thanks to Rabih Chamas from Greenline Real Estate for sponsoring this planting. If you’d like to support more events like this one around the neighborhood, you can contribute at petworthblooms.org/donate.

Send an email to petworthblooms@gmail.com if you’d like to get info on smaller-work opportunities throughout the year.
