How do you find a good partner... and where do you go on dates?

The reader and her friend, who is also single, are each looking for a good match, and are "tired of being weirded out by creepy guys" on online dating sites. "We need to figure this thing out!"

"I’m a single parent who hasn’t been dating for a while now since my divorce (9 years ago), mainly because of my son, work and grad school," she writes. "I’m open to meeting new people but don't know where to start. I just wanted to try something different to try and meet somebody worth investing some of my time. BUT! I was also asking for my friend because she wanted to meet some genuinely nice guys who have something going for themselves as well. We are both in our early 30s and we both have jobs that require security clearances, so we can’t be around a whole lot of craziness!"
