I'm a huge fan of DC SCORES, a very cool non-profit that provides an after-school program to elementary and middle school children, teaching them soccer, community service and poetry. What they're really teaching is kids teamwork, respect and confidence to achieve their goals.

Petworth Citizen is hosting a fundraiser for the really worthy kids' non-profit on Tuesday, March 28, between 5-7pm for a happy hour benefiting DC SCORES. 10% of alcohol sales during the two hours will directly benefit their poet-athletes.
