Taqueria Del Barrio & Gina Chersevani bring fun seasonal cocktails to Upshur
/Taqueria del Barrio has amped up its cocktail menu just in time for Fall, working with renowned beverage consultant, Gina Chersevani, to create playful & tasty new choices in tune with the season.
Gina and Taqueria del Barrio Beverage Director, Chris Martino, conceptualized new cocktails that showcase the restaurant’s diverse collection of Latin American spirits and homemade ingredients to capture the flavors of fall. In addition to menu signatures like the Margarita del Barrio and Pure & Simple with Chacho aguardiente, Taqueria del Barrio is now pouring new cocktails like Show Me Your Pepita, made with smoky Ilegal Reposado mezcal and toasted pepita syrup, and Como La Flor, made with Avion Silver tequila, chamomile tea, Sloe gin, lime, and sage-infused olive oil.
A new Smashing Pumpkins cocktail gets a little theatrical, requiring guests to smash an "ice pumpkin" to combine pumpkin-infused mezcal with Mexican coffee for a whimsical, bracing drink.
“The flavors of fall are smoky and seductive," says Gina Chersevani. "These Latin-inspired cocktails at Taqueria del Barrio follow that theme while showcasing some of the best spirits from Mexico."
Taqueria del Barrio’s new cocktails range from $10 to $13. Now is the perfect time to enjoy these new fall cocktails, paired with Taqueria del Barrio’s authentic Mexican dishes.
You can see their full drink menu, including these cocktails, on the Del Barrio website.

This is a sponsored article on behalf of Taqueria Del Barrio, admittedly one of my favorite new restaurants on Upshur Street. I've had several of their tasty cocktails, most recently the Como La Flor and it was awesome.
