Help-U-Sell building on Upshur gets ready to expand up and out to offer more office space for rent

The building at 843 Upshur Street has become famous for the Petworth mural and Willow Fashion, along with the Help-U-Sell Brokerage upstairs.

Help-U-Sell Real Estate is beginning a major reconstruction project at their building at 843 Upshur Street, the second time this building has gone through improvements. The tall green building on Upshur, which is also home to Willow Fashion and the Petworth mural, will add a third floor on top and is expanding into the back of the lot along the alley to add more office space for rent.

Marc Dosik, the owner and broker of Help-U-Sell, previously renovated the building in 2011 when he purchased it, greatly changing the building and offering retail space and office space. Now that building is growing again to offer more features to the neighborhood.

The expansion will offer a refreshed look to Upshur street out front along with improvements in the alley behind the existing building. Contractors have already broken ground behind the building in the alley, and expect to have work completed by summer. Marc Dosik, the owner of Help-U-Sell, plans to rent out office and desk space to businesses that need office work space in Petworth.

Once completed, the building will offer usable rental space for businesses during the day and early evening hours, increasing afternoon foot traffic for the retail and restaurants in the area.
