Stabbing at the Petworth library takes one man's life
/On Thursday evening, March 2nd around 7pm, a man using the computers at the Petworth library was stabbed by another man. The victim died at the scene.
According to accounts, the two men involved in the incident knew each other, though the reason for the attack is not known. The victim was using a library computer when the suspect approached and stabbed the victim in the neck. Library patrons jumped on the suspect, disarmed him and held him for police. According to the Washington Post, both men were believed to be unhoused.
The identities of both men are not known at the moment.
The Petworth library will remain closed until Monday, March 6th, according to DC Public Library.
