Mother's Day Free Market with Ward 4 Mutual Aid

by Cesse Ip

Ward 4 Mutual Aid and Petworth Peanuts have paired up to host the Mother's Day Free Market for the third year in a row. This year it will be held on Saturday, May 13th from 12-4pm at Emory United Methodist Church at 6100 Georgia Ave NW.

The market is open to any families who are looking for FREE gently used maternity, baby, and children’s clothing, strollers, toys, gears, and more. Items are geared toward children 0-6.

If you have items to donate, you can drop off your donations on porches around Ward 4 starting Sat 4/29 -Thursday 5/11, or at Emory Church on Friday, May 12th (9:30-4pm) or the morning of Saturday May 13th.

See the dropoff map:

Last year they had very few items leftover, but the few that were left were posted onto community listservs and everything was taken within a few days. So it’s a great opportunity to give!
