Last month saw the kick-off of a new social gathering called the "People of Petworth." The new social is the idea of three residents who want to create a more "social" social by meeting up at a bar. It's a good way to try out new restaurants/bars and hang out with your neighbors. Everyone is invited to attend. Below is the email sent by the organizers:

People of Petworth!

Our gathering last month at Homestead was super fun. About 30 people come through, including our Ward 4 Councilman Brandon Todd. It was the perfect excuse to get out and meet some new folks while catching up with friends and neighbors.

This month we are converging on the newly renovated BACK PATIO at Ten Tigers, 3813 Georgia Ave NW.

THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 28th. Start time is 9pm.

Tell a neighbor and bring a friend, everyone is welcome.

Petworth is getting known for its Socials... from Grant Circle to Southwest Petworth to Sherman Circle. Add to this list one more, a new Friday evening social to be held at local bars in the neighborhood. It doesn't really have a name yet, but the idea is simple: meet your neighbors, grab a drink and be social.
