A new feature is launching this week, called Petworth News Real Estate. This new section of the site will offer a hyperlocal look at property listings for homes for sale in the Petworth area.

The idea behind this section is to allow readers to get to know what the home inventory is like in Petworth, from condos to row houses to single family homes. If you’re interested in buying a home in or around Petworth, it’s a great way to see listings for properties only in the area. Or, if you’re looking to sell your home, then the agents listing here on Petworth News Real Estate are the ones who know Petworth best. You should contact them first.

Each week you’ll find the Featured Listing of the Week, one special property that gets promoted on the blog and on Facebook. You’ll also see Regular local property listings and Agent Profiles. Both Featured and Regular listings have location maps, photo galleries, and jargon-free descriptions. The agents are easy to contact, and home listings are easy-to-read — and they’re limited in number on purpose. The goal is to inform and showcase, not overwhelm.

Yes, there’s Trulia and Zillow and other sites, but Petworth News Real Estate (PNRE) purposefully focuses on just our area, on a limited amount of properties. You’ll find homes in North Columbia Heights, Park View, Brightwood, Crestwood, Shepherd Park, 16th Street Heights and similar. You won’t find Georgetown, Van Ness, Cleveland Park, Arlington or other places in Virginia and Maryland.
