Slim's Diner has completed all the renovations, passed all the inspections, and opened Wednesday at 12 noon - 4pm for your lunch happiness. They threw an invite-only launch party on Wednesday night, and then opened Thursday from 7am -4pm, with full regular hours starting Friday. Find Slim's at 4201 Georgia Avenue NW.

Slim's regular hours of business will be:
- Sun - Thur 7am to Midnight
- Fri + Sat 7am to 2am

Timber Pizza Co officially opened its doors at 5pm Wednesday, offering wood-oven fired pizza and tasty beverages. Their pizza is great, the restaurant interior is warm and the copper-pizza oven won't burn you if you get too close (but seriously, don't get too close to open flame, because, flame). Find Timber at 809 Upshur Street NW.

Timber Pizza's hours will be:
- Closed Monday's for now.
- Tuesday - Thursday 5pm-10ish.
- Friday & Saturday 5pm-11something.
- Sunday 5pm-10.
- Lunch and brunch coming in the not to distant future.
