The Reading Room at Petworth Citizen is home to so many cool cocktail and drink events, and as a fan of whiskey and bourbons, the one coming next week sounds great to me.

Petworth’s own whisky expert Dan Searing is hosting “Barrel Proof Bourbon,” a class on barrel proof bourbon on February 28th.

There's whiskey, and then there's Irish Whiskey, and one man who knows the difference is Andrew Pope. Andrew hosts a monthly whiskey tasting class at Reliable Tavern (3655 Georgia Ave NW), and this month, his fourth class at the tavern, focuses on whiskeys from the fair Irish isle.
