On Sunday, September 8th, WABA and DC Family Biking are hosting a huge, free biking event at Alethia Tanner Park (227 Harry Thomas Way NE) that celebrates all the kids and families on wheels. Everyone is invited — no bike needed.

If you'd like to bike from Petworth, meet up in Sherman Circle at 9:30am to ride over together. This leisurely, kid-friendly neighborhood ride is sponsored by Petworth News and led by ANC 4D06 Commissioner Aman George

There will be tons of kid and family bikes to check out at Alethia Tanner Park, plus a Kids Bike Parade & Rodeo, DC Library Storytime, a Learn-to-Ride workshop offered by Girls In Gear, and opportunities to connect with dozens of local shops, favorite brands and community organizations.

You'll find a free gear swap table, giveaways with BIG prizes, food trucks, bathrooms and more. Giveaway proceeds benefit WABA and DC Families for Safe Streets.

This event also offers free bike tune-ups and free sno-cones for all!

Alethia Tanner Park in Ward 5 is accessible by bike or on foot via the Metropolitan Branch Trail as well as by Metro or car.

RSVP to the event - or just show up! The event is FREE and open to all. See you there!
