Get your dance on and help support the Petworth Dance Project

Sara Herrera-Kopetchny, who started the Petworth Dance Project this past summer, is looking for ways to bring the dance and non-dancing communities together, while supporting the Project. Her solution is a dance class series for all levels to enjoy. And while you dance and enjoy, you also get to help fund the 2016 season. Pretty cool. And it starts this Friday, Nov 20th at 7:30pm.

Each month Sara will be teaching a dance class revolved around a theme; “disco, holiday, boy bands, the 90's and what better way to kick off the class series than with the 80’s!” All classes are $10 and the proceeds go towards the Petworth Dance Projects 2016 season.

The class is for all all ages, all levels, if you can move then come out and groove. Crossfit Petworth is hosting the classes at 1240 Upshur Street NW, so there will be plenty of room for everyone. Class is $10 at the door or you can get your ticket online. 80's attire is definitely encouraged but not a deal breaker. A way for all to just let loose, meet new faces and bring the community together.

Visit Eventbrite to purchase your ticket(s) or pay in person the day of event.

“I hope you can attend the classes, and if we have yet to actually meet, then definitely come out,” said Sara. “I’m big on hugs, and I would love to discuss what the Petworth Dance Project is all about and what's in store! Plus, afterwards we can head over to Petworth Citizen for post dance workout drinks!”

“I look forward to seeing you in your 80's gear on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 7:30pm-8:30pm. I could not be more excited that our dear friends at Crossfit Petworth will be hosting the first round of classes.”
