[Canceled to due rain!] Saturday brings the Jazz Project and JaneliaSoul to Petworth

Update Sat July 29th: The Petworth Jazz Project has been canceled due to rain. They will reschedule for a later date.
End of a summer month in Petworth means it's time for the Petworth Jazz Project, one of the best free concerts and community events in DC. This month's show should be awesome, and is sponsored by a few of the local Upshur Street businesses. The show starts at 6pm on Saturday, July 29th on the lawn at Petworth Park (8th and Taylor Streets NW).
Sponsors include Willow Fashion, Fia's Fabulous Finds, Timber Pizza and Himitsu Local businesses at their finest, these shops add character, heart and great products to the 800 block of Upshur Street!

A special fashion show will be presented by Willow and Fia's at 6:45pm and promises to be a pretty cool way to see some of the unique fashions and accessories.
Timeline:
- 6pm: Baba Ras D rocks the kids
- 6:45pm: Fashion show!
- 7pm-8:15pm: Headline artist JaneliaSoul
Food truck will be Ricksha (authentic Indian).

JaneliaSoul is a female-fronted world music band based in Baltimore, MD. The band fuses soulful elements with traditional Nigerian Yoruba rhythms, afro-pop, afro-beat and reggae; hence the name of the band, JaneliaSoul. They have played together for 5 years and recently dazzled audiences at Takoma Park Folk Festival and FestAfrica.
