Petworth Jazz Project this Saturday at 8th & Taylor

Mark Meadows performing at the Petworth Jazz Project

The best recurring outdoor jazz series in DC is on again this Saturday, September 24th at Petworth Park (8th & Taylor Streets NW). This Petworth Jazz Project once again features the amazing music of Mark Meadows, the dance of Petworth Dance Project, kids' music by Baba Ras D, food by Chik's Chik'n Food Truck and pre-show, in-between and post-show music by DJ Unknown (Richard Patterson).

Mark Meadows played the Jazz Project last July, and it was a phenomenal show. A very talented musician, Meadows recently completed a critically acclaimed run performing as Jelly Roll Morton in Signature Theater's "Jelly's Last Jam." (See pictures of his performance from the July 2015 Petworth Jazz Project.)

The Petworth Dance Project will also be on-hand to showcase the Classical Ballet Theater and the Hand Dance Association.

Grab a picnic dinner from one of the local restaurants, or enjoy Chik's Chik'n food truck from 5-8pm. (Remember, no dogs or alcohol — and carry out what you bring in!)

The final Petworth Jazz Project will be next month, rescheduling the rained-out July show.

Schedule:
4:30pm: DJ Unkown
5pm: Baba Ras D (kids music)
6pm: Petworth Dance Project presents Classical Ballet Theater and the Hand Dance Association
7pm: Mark G. Meadows
