The final Petworth Jazz Project of the 2015 season was Saturday, September 26th. This time it was a combo event with the Petworth Dance Project, giving Petworth's newest cultural program some much needed exposure. Dinner was provided by Timber Pizza Company -- I'm looking forward to them opening up their restaurant at 809 Upshur St NW.

As I've said before, these two shows are really stand-out events that help make Petworth a wonderful neighborhood to live in. Professional performances from some of the best local jazz musicians and dance companies in the area, and they're free for residents. Much thanks to the sponsors who gave their support to help make the shows happen (after all, the performers, sound teams, etc, all have to get paid).

The kids were adoring Baba Ras D, the dance performances by ACW Dance and Laura Quiroga were cool, and the jazz by the Dave Kline Band was outstanding.

As with every event, I walked around and took pictures (I joked with one family that I felt like a wedding photographer taking table pics, lol). I appreciate everyone who posed for a photo!
