The Celebrate Petworth Festival is right around the corner on September 8th. To make this awesome day happen, the team running the festival is looking for volunteers to help with tasks big and small. There's an opportunity for everyone to be involved.
The Celebrate Petworth festival is becoming one of the biggest events in Petworth. Now going into its third year, they're looking to volunteers to join the steering committee and help shape this summer's next festival. (See a photo gallery from last summer's festival.) Here's their call for volunteers for a meeting next week:

They do great events like "Jingo night" (like bingo but with pictures instead of numbers) as well as a fun Saloon night, where volunteers chat with and serve drinks and food to veterans during live music and other events. They also put on the July 4th events, Oktoberfest and other community events at the Armed Forces Retirement Home.
They're looking for support from neighbors to help meet their funding goals. As we move into the holiday season, bear in mind that every dollar helps.
