Open Streets is coming back to Georgia Avenue on Oct 2nd

After its inaugural success in 2019, Open Streets returns to Georgia Avenue on Saturday, October 2nd from 10am to 3pm. Three miles of Georgia Avenue — between Barry Place NW and Missouri Avenue — will be closed to cars. Instead, residents can walk, bike, run and scooter in the street. It’ll be the first of a series of Open Streets events that will be held across all eight wards in 2021-2022.

DDOT will close three miles of Georgia Avenue on Saturday, October 5th from 8am until 6pm for their “Open Streets” event, being held from 10am until 2pm.

Bus routes, no parking and towing enforcement will all be affected.
